I have always needed an artistic expression.

For many years it was music - playing, listening, teaching and producing and submitting radio programs. In recent years, music has given way to art photography, creating a connection with the many years of interest in visual arts alongside music.

When I take a picture, I look for the story within the scene. I like to give a sense of texture within the photograph, to use the natural lighting and shadows, and to use objects that are around.

I tend to take photos instinctively. The general feeling that the environment transmits at the moment of me being there is more important to me than its details. These I find later. At the studio desk I find the story, the images and the atmosphere that made me push the camera button in the first place. As I search through the photos I have taken, I reveal things that the camera saw and perpetuated and gave me as an artist the opportunity to create an art work. The creation of the final work and dealing with elements such as colour, structure and form is the last step.
